Accepting payments

Which payment methods can I accept?

Cards — Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express, JCB, UnionPay and Diners Club. QR and wallets — PayNow, SGQR, Alipay, GrabPay, DBS PayLah!, Google Pay, PayPal, Atome and ShopBack. Which methods apply to your business depends on your device and business type, and the final list is confirmed during onboarding — so you'll know exactly what you can accept before you go live.

Can I accept payments both in-store and online?

Yes. You can accept payments at your physical locations, through your website or online store, or both. Where a business does both, payment activity can be viewed together rather than kept in separate places.

Does ONE hold funds or provide an account?

No. ONE does not issue accounts and does not hold funds. We enable your business to accept payments in-store and online. Settlement of funds is handled by the relevant licensed payment provider under the terms agreed during onboarding.

How do I see what I've been paid?

Your transactions and settlement reports are available through the merchant portal, so you can check the day's payments without adding up receipts. We'll show you where to find everything during onboarding.

Getting started

Who is ONE Payments?

ONE Payments is a Singapore-founded payment technology company. We help businesses accept payments in-store and online, and we support them through onboarding and day-to-day operation. ONE provides payment technology, merchant onboarding assistance and ongoing support. Payment services are provided through licensed payment partners and are subject to the relevant provider's onboarding, approval and terms.

What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Businesses that take payments from customers — whether that happens at a counter, at a table, or on a website. - Restaurants, cafés, bakeries and food stalls - Retail stores and retail chains - Online stores and e-commerce businesses - Salons, clinics, studios and other service businesses - Multi-outlet businesses, charities and non-profits

How do I get started?

Tell us about your business and how you'd like to accept payments. From there we'll guide you through onboarding, help you complete what's required, and get your terminal or online checkout ready to use. You can start with the Get Started form, or speak to our team directly if you'd rather talk it through.

What information will I need to provide?

Onboarding for payment acceptance involves business verification, so you should expect to provide details about your business, its owners and how it operates. The exact requirements depend on your business type and the relevant payment provider. We'll tell you what's needed before you start, rather than asking for things piecemeal.

Is my business guaranteed to be approved?

No. Merchant applications are subject to onboarding checks and approval by the relevant licensed payment provider, and some business types are restricted or cannot be supported. We'd rather tell you early if something looks unlikely than take you through a process that won't complete.

Online payments

How do I add ONE to my website?

Through a website checkout, a payment gateway, or by integrating APIs into your own application. Which route makes sense depends on how your site is built. You can also take payment without a website at all, using payment links — useful for invoices, deposits, phone orders and selling over social media. Our team will help you work out the right option and support you through the integration.

Will I be integrating with ONE, or with the payment provider?

It depends on the setup. In some cases the technical integration is made directly with the licensed payment provider rather than with ONE, and you would work against their documentation and endpoints. That doesn't change who supports you. ONE stays involved through onboarding and implementation, and helps coordinate the work — so you're not left to figure out the relationship between parties on your own. We'll tell you which arrangement applies to your business before any technical work begins, rather than letting you discover it partway through.

Do I need a developer?

Not always. Supported platform integrations generally need less technical work than a custom build. If you do have a developer, the relevant documentation and integration support are there for them — whether the integration runs through ONE or directly with the payment provider.

Pricing & commercials

How does pricing work?

Transaction rates start at 0.5%, and there are no fixed fees — no subscription, no annual fee and no terminal rental. What you actually pay depends on your business type, your monthly volume, your average transaction size and which payment methods you take. 0.5% is where rates start, not what every business gets. Rather than publish a rate card that won't reflect your situation, we'll look at your setup and give you a real number.

Will ONE be cheaper than my current provider?

Possibly — but it depends entirely on what you're paying now, and we can't tell you that from a webpage. What we can tell you is where we start from: rates from 0.5%, no subscription fee, no annual fee and no terminal rental. If your current provider charges you a monthly platform fee or rents you the hardware, that is a real difference before rates even come into it. Send us your current provider, rough monthly volume and current rate, and we'll be honest about whether moving is worth your time. If it isn't, we'll say so.

Are there any fixed monthly costs?

No. There is no subscription fee and no annual fee, so a quiet month doesn't cost you anything in standing charges. You pay on what you process. Hardware is your choice: buy the terminal outright, or rent it if that suits your cash flow better. You are not forced onto a rental plan to get a terminal.

How quickly do I get my money?

Settlement is typically T+1 — the day after the transaction. Timelines vary depending on the payment method and the acquiring partner involved, so we'll confirm what applies to your setup during onboarding rather than leaving you to find out.

How do I get a quote?

Use the payment setup comparison — tell us how you accept payments today, including your current provider and volumes if you have them to hand. The more accurate the picture, the more useful our response.

Support & switching

Who do I contact if something goes wrong?

Our Singapore-based merchant support team. You'll be dealing with people who understand the local context and your setup.

I'm already with another provider. Is it worth talking?

If your fees are unclear, your systems don't talk to each other, or reconciliation is eating your time, it's worth a conversation. Tell us how you're accepting payments today and we'll review your current setup with you.

Do you support businesses with multiple outlets?

Yes. Multi-outlet businesses have particular needs around payment visibility across locations and their commercial arrangement, so those conversations go to our multi-outlet team.

Terminals & hardware

What payment terminals do you offer?

Three options, depending on how you operate: - ONE Pro — a smart Android terminal with a 5.5" touchscreen and built-in printer, for counters and restaurants. - ONE Mini — a compact terminal with voice confirmation, for stalls and tight counter space. - ONE Tap — Tap to Pay on an NFC-enabled Android phone you already own, with no extra hardware. Our team will recommend a setup based on how your business runs, rather than fitting your business around a single device.

Do I need to buy hardware to get started?

Not necessarily. ONE Tap runs on an NFC-enabled Android phone you already own, so you can accept contactless card and QR payments without a separate terminal. If you'd rather have a dedicated device — particularly if you need printed receipts or voice confirmation — ONE Pro and ONE Mini are available to buy outright or to rent, whichever suits you.

Does the terminal have to make a sound?

Audio prompts can be turned down to silent by lowering the device volume, but they cannot be switched off entirely. On ONE Mini the voice confirmation is the point — it tells you a payment succeeded while your hands and eyes are busy elsewhere.

Can I keep my existing POS system?

In many cases, yes. ONE supports integration with supported POS platforms and business systems. Whether your specific system is supported is something we'll confirm with you — it depends on the platform and how it's set up.

Will switching disrupt my business?

We plan the changeover with you and coordinate setup around your trading hours where possible, so you're not stood down during a busy period. Our team handles the coordination rather than leaving you to manage several parties at once.

Still have a question?

Our team would rather answer it directly than have you guess from a webpage.
